Our Urban Rest Stops are amazing resources to our homeless populations in Seattle. They provide places for people to use showers, launder their clothes and receive hygiene supplies. Due to the nature of these sites, the clientele is always rotating with very few regulars.
To join our Urban Rest Stop Team you must have emotional resilience and strong de-escalation techniques. These are both incredibly important skills to be successful in these sites. These sites can be difficult without the above skills, but it can also be very rewarding too when helping our homeless populations directly and having the resources to treat them with dignity.
"Without a doubt, my favorite part of this job is connecting with our patrons and being able to earn each other's trust. Sometimes it's quick and sometimes it takes a while, but once that trust is built it's a very wholesome and fulfilling experience."
"Being able to help people who truly need it while making a difference is something most employees in other companies don't get."
