If you are regularly scheduled for 30 hours a week or more, LIHI pays 100% of employee's base plan medical, dental and vision. If the employee wants to increase coverage with a different plan or add dependents, LIHI will still cover the same the base plan amount, employee's will cover the difference. Coverage will start the 1st of the month following the first 90 days of employment.
Medical - LIHI offers three different medical plans through Premera: HRA Base Plan, Buy Up Plan, and HSA Buy Up Plan
Dental - LIHI offers dental coverage through Premera.
Vision - LIHI's vision plan is arranged through Vision Service Plan (VSP).
LIHI also offers Aflac for all employees.
LIHI has three Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. This includes a combined 8 face-to-face counseling visits per occurrence, and an unlimited number of phone consultations. Our EAPs can offer assistance with personal, family and work issues to you and your legal beneficiaries at no cost to our employees.
LIHI offers a Travel Assistance Program that can be used for emergency medical help, travel services and can give useful tips if you travel more than 100 miles away from your home.
LIHI is happy to announce that our benefits are expanding! We now offer prescription discounts, and access to a service that can assist with understanding benefits, billing, insurance and more through Health Advocate. Health Advocate is a service that can be used by our employees and their families, regardless if they are on LIHI offered insurance or not.
We are also now able to offer three Employee Discount Programs, as well! These help with major purchases, travel and more!
LIHI pays for Life Insurance coverage and AD&D Insurance for all staff as well. There are voluntary buy-up options available, if desired by staff.
Rula is a new resource to LIHI that offers affordable, accessible care. Rula offers licensed therapists and prescribers that is matched with you, carefully vetted to ensure the highest quality of care.
LIHI firmly believes that work/life balance is a vital part of employment, and are especially important for our employee's mental health in an industry that can be emotionally taxing.
Employees scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week will accruing vacation time starts at a rate of 116 hours per year, or about 3 weeks per year. The accrual amount increases the longer employees are with LIHI. Sick time is accrued at a rate of 80 hours per year.
We also offer 10 holidays throughout the year. In recognition of the variety of holidays our staff observe, and consistent with our value of inclusivity, the holidays are flexible so that you can use them to celebrate the holidays you observe with manager prior approval.
Employee's also enjoy one (1) floating holiday per year to be used at the employee's discretion, with manager approval.
Our unionized employees are offered to participate in a 403(b) through the union, OPEIU Local 8. After 1 year of employment, LIHI will match up to 4% of Retirement contributions.
Non-union employees are offered participation in a 401k through Vanguard. In lieu of employer contributions, non-union employees will receive a 4% increase after 6 months that can be used for their 401k.

We have case management in both shelters and in housing. Enhanced Shelter Case Managers operate in a Housing Navigation capacity, whereas Supportive Services Case Managers work to keep residents in housing.
